A short walk from Yotsuya Station in Shinjuku Ward, Kitajima Tei is a celebrated fixture among the Tabelog French TOKYO Hyakumeiten 2025, led by chef Motoyuki Kitajima’s hearty, generously portioned take on classic French cooking. The restaurant has built a devoted following over the years for home-style dishes rooted firmly in traditional French technique.
The intimate 12-seat restaurant accepts reservations by phone and can issue qualified invoices under Japan’s invoice registration system. Credit cards are accepted (VISA, Mastercard, JCB, AMEX, Diners), though electronic money and QR code payment are not available, and a 10% service charge applies; limited paid parking can be found along nearby Sanei-dori.
Kitajima Tei is closed every Tuesday and Wednesday, serving lunch from 11:30 to 15:00 (last food order 12:30, last drink order 14:00) and dinner from 18:00 to 22:00 (last food order 19:00, last drink order 21:00) on all other days, including public holidays and the days before and after them.
