Yummy

Yummy is a lively, budget-friendly standing bar near Shijo Station in central Kyoto, opened in May 2023 by a former staff member of a celebrated Osaka izakaya. The menu centers on raw fish and sushi, letting guests choose sashimi or nigiri preparation for each catch, alongside small plates like grilled ginger mackerel and daily quiches. It draws a notably young, female-heavy crowd for its all-day happy-hour pricing and energetic, approachable atmosphere. Just two years after opening it earned a spot on Tabelog’s 2025 Top 100 Standing Bars list, and demand has since been strong enough to support a second location.
