Yakiniku Sudou Kumamoto Honten (焼肉すどう 熊本本店)

Yakiniku Sudou Kumamoto Honten is a full-service yakiniku restaurant in central Kumamoto City where trained staff grill each cut tableside at the optimal moment, emphasizing flavor and texture over grading rank. The restaurant sources primarily Kyushu black-haired wagyu, grilled over domestic charcoal, and also serves original soup-stock dishes and spiced curry. Its building is constructed from Oguni cedar, a Kumamoto specialty, and reportedly offers views toward Kumamoto Castle. This Kumamoto flagship location is a separate branch from the restaurant’s Haruyoshi, Fukuoka location. It has held consecutive Tabelog Yakiniku Hyakumeiten recognition since 2020.
