Uotora (魚虎)

Inside Kurosaki’s Kumade Ichiba market building, Uotora has built a loyal following on same-day seafood — a menu that shifts, and sometimes closes early, based on what the market yields that day. Two nightly seatings keep the counter intimate, and repeat Tabelog Award medals alongside its Hyakumeiten selections have only tightened its reputation as one of Kitakyushu’s toughest izakaya tables to book.

Note: in addition to its regular Sunday and holiday closure, the restaurant is also closed on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month.
