Toriyoshi (鳥好)

Toriyoshi is a compact, 15-seat charcoal-grilled yakitori counter a five-minute walk from JR Akita Station, known for careful fire control and a quiet, focused atmosphere. The kitchen grills a wide range of chicken cuts over charcoal in the classic Akita izakaya style, drawing steady local support as well as visiting yakitori enthusiasts. It is cash only, so guests should come prepared, and reservations are advisable given the limited seating. Toriyoshi has been named one of Tabelog’s Top 100 Yakitori Restaurants (Hyakumeiten) in the EAST region for 2025.
