Torisaki (鳥さき)

Two minutes from Karasuma Oike Station, Torisaki is a Michelin one-star yakitori restaurant known for what its own description calls supreme skewers grilled over high flames, served across a 19-seat space with 15 counter seats and one private room for four. Chef Tomoki Hata’s restaurant is reservation-only, seating guests from 6:00 PM six nights a week and closing on Sundays as well as during the year-end and New Year holidays. Dinner typically runs ¥15,000 to ¥30,000 depending on the course, and the restaurant remains one of Kyoto’s most difficult yakitori reservations to secure.
