Tachinomiya Shiraishi (立呑や しらいし)

Set inside the old-school Shin-Umeda Shokudo-gai food alley a few minutes from Umeda Station, Tachinomiya Shiraishi (formerly known as Tachinomiya Ishimon) is an 18-seat standing bar built for sake lovers. Small, carefully composed plates of daily sashimi and seasonal dishes are portioned for one or two, meant to pair with a rotating lineup of 60ml sake pours poured by staff happy to guide first-timers.

Solo diners and women are especially welcome at this no-reservation, cash-only spot that stays open every day of the week.
