Sumishin (炭心)

Sumishin has earned Tabelog Hyakumeiten yakitori WEST selection for 2025 from its counter in central Matsuyama, closing each night once its ingredients sell out rather than at a fixed hour. The restaurant does not accept solo reservations, requiring parties of at least two, and pairs its grilled chicken with a sake and wine list in a counter-only setting. As one of the relatively few Hyakumeiten-level yakitori restaurants in Shikoku, it has become a destination worth planning a group visit around in Ehime’s capital.
