Shinsui Chubo Shie is a completely reservation-only izakaya in Akita City specializing in creative regional cuisine, seating 25 guests in a non-smoking space. It has been named to Tabelog’s 2025 Izakaya EAST Hyakumeiten (Top 100) list and is regarded by multiple reviewers as among Akita’s top izakaya. Note: in addition to its regular Sunday closure, the restaurant is also closed on the second Monday of each month. It previously operated at a different address in the Yahashi-Honcho area before relocating to its current location.
