Rojiura Avant-garde

Rojiura Avant-garde is a standing-only oden specialist tucked into a renovated traditional townhouse near Fukushima Station in Osaka, pairing classic oden — daikon, egg, atsu-age, and mochi pouches — with more inventive takes like wagyu beef tendon and a housemade sausage. A second-floor tatami room accommodates private parties of up to twenty, a rarity for a standing bar.

Opened in April 2018, it has become a fixture of the Fukushima tachinomi scene and was selected for Tabelog 2025 standing-bar Hyakumeiten. Reported hours vary noticeably by source and the shop can stay open quite late, so confirming the current schedule before visiting is worthwhile.
