Minamiaoyama Nanachome is a Michelin-starred, family-run yakitori restaurant tucked into a basement space near Hiroo Station, seating just 11 guests at its counter. The owner grills each skewer to order while his mother leads warm, attentive service, creating an intimate, home-like atmosphere rare for a Michelin-recognized restaurant. Signature dishes include creative preparations like quail egg “El France,” alongside seasonal vegetables paired with expertly grilled chicken. Reservations are highly sought after and the restaurant was selected as one of Tabelog’s Yakitori Hyakumeiten (Top 100) for East Japan in 2025.
