Koutarou (高太郎)

Koutarou is a 22-seat izakaya in Shibuya’s Sakuragaoka district, Tokyo, known among Tokyo’s dining community as an exceptionally hard-to-book spot for Japanese-style creative cuisine. It has been a repeat Tabelog Izakaya EAST Hyakumeiten (Top 100) honoree, including in 2025. Reservations must be made at least one month in advance, directly by the guest; third-party booking agents are not accepted. Note: in addition to its regular Monday closure, the restaurant is also closed on the first and third Tuesday of each month.
