KANEGURA is a casual, self-serve wagyu hot pot izakaya in downtown Kyoto’s Shimogyo Ward, produced by the team behind the respected wagyu kaiseki restaurant Niku no Takumi Miyoshi. Guests cook premium Omi and Kobe beef and other hot pot ingredients tableside in a relaxed, drinking-friendly setting rather than a formal yakiniku format. Since opening in late 2021, it has quickly built a following for offering high-grade wagyu at accessible, izakaya-style prices.
