Kakomo Sumiyoshi

Kakomo Sumiyoshi is the original Kobe standing bar from which the Osaka “Kakomo Kitahama-ten” branch descends, located a few minutes’ walk from JR/Rokko Liner Sumiyoshi Station in Higashinada Ward. It offers seasonal, ingredient-driven small plates alongside an extensive sake list, in a stylish, wa-modern setting.

The original shop closed in 2021 after the founding chef’s sudden death, but reopened in March 2022 under a former colleague who preserved the name, space, and spirit. Selected for Tabelog’s 2025 standing-bar Hyakumeiten, the bar is closed on Sundays.
