Hotel De Ogawa (オテルドゥオガワ)

Hotel De Ogawa is a compact counter izakaya in Kyoto’s Gion-Shijo area, opened in 2024 as a casual sister restaurant to the celebrated Kyoto kappo Shokudo Ogawa. Despite its playful, hotel-styled name, it is not a hotel but a walk-in-only Japanese dining bar serving refined, seasonally driven small plates prepared by chefs trained under the parent restaurant’s kitchen. With no reservations accepted, seating is available purely by chance for walk-in guests. It was selected for the Tabelog Izakaya WEST Hyakumeiten in 2025.
