Housed in a renovated 100-year-old townhouse near Nomachi Station, Hamaguri Zaka Maekawa is an eight-seat counter restaurant that builds its yakitori around Takasaka chicken and incorporates seasonal Kaga vegetables, including lotus root worked into its tsukune. The restaurant runs two nightly seatings, the first from 5:00 PM and the second from around 8:15 PM, and is reservation-only given its popularity. Closed on Sundays and select additional days on a variable schedule, dinner here often runs ¥20,000 or more per person, and the restaurant was named a Tabelog Award 2026 Bronze winner as well as a Tabelog yakitori WEST Hyakumeiten selection for 2025.
