Furaibou (風来房)

Furaibou is a tsukemen (dipping noodle) specialist near Nagaokakyo Station in southern Kyoto Prefecture, best known for its rich, spicy sesame-based dandan tsukemen dipping sauce. The shop keeps irregular hours tied to how much of its slow-simmered sauce it prepares each day, often closing early once the day’s batch sells out, which gives it a first-come, first-served reputation among Kansai ramen fans. Long lines are common before opening. It has been recognized in the Tabelog Ramen Hyakumeiten (West) 2025 rankings for its thick, chewy noodles and intensely flavored dipping broth.
