Fukushima Koufukuya

Fukushima Koufukuya is an old-fashioned neighborhood standing bar about a 12-15 minute walk from JR Fukushima Station, popular with regulars for its quiet, relaxed, no-frills atmosphere. The menu centers on simple, well-made izakaya fare, notably bluefin tuna sashimi platters, fried chicken, and monkfish karaage, backed by an unusually deep sake list.

Drinks are self-service, keeping prices low, and food orders are written by hand, part of its retro charm. Selected for Tabelog’s 2025 standing-bar Hyakumeiten, the shop is open daily with no fixed closed day.
