wapiti

wapiti is a small, stand-only tachinomi bar near Sakaisujihonmachi Station, run by a husband-and-wife team since 2017. Its signature is house-smoked food — smoked platters, a smoked quiche, and even low-temperature-smoked chocolate — paired with an eclectic drinks list spanning whisky, shochu, sake, and wine.

The antique, slightly surreal decor and L-shaped leather counter draw a loyal following of neighborhood regulars. Selected for Tabelog’s 2025 standing-bar Hyakumeiten, the bar is closed on Mondays and Sundays.
