Wanaka (炭魚酒菜 わなか)

Wanaka is a seafood-focused izakaya near Kanazawa Station, led by a chef who previously managed the well-known Itaru Honten in Kanazawa’s Katamachi district. The kitchen emphasizes daily-selected local fish and Kaga-region vegetables, with charcoal-grilling as a signature technique and a curated regional sake list of over twenty labels.

A first-time 2025 Tabelog Izakaya WEST Hyakumeiten honoree, it offers counter, table, and small private-room seating and is closed on Sundays.
