Shunsai Shungyo Tajima (旬菜旬魚たじま)

Shunsai Shungyo Tajima is an izakaya in Hakodate, Hokkaido, distinguished by its proprietor personally sourcing much of the seafood and mountain vegetables served through his own fishing and foraging. The restaurant, with counter and private-room seating, pairs its seasonal, chef-caught ingredients with a curated sake and spirits list, and has been named to the Tabelog Hyakumeiten Izakaya (EAST) 2025 list. Note: the restaurant relocated to its current Tomioka-cho address in 2022 after previously operating in the nearby Mihara neighborhood.
