Ramen Jiro Yokohama-Kannai is a branch of Ramen Jiro (ラーメン二郎), one of the most famous and cult-followed ramen chains in Japan. Ramen Jiro is legendary for its enormous portions of thick noodles piled with cabbage, bean sprouts, pork, and garlic, and for a devoted fan community known as “Jiro-lian.” Each branch, including this Kannai location, is run semi-independently by former apprentices and has its own character and following, but all share the chains signature huge-portion style.

Expect long lines, a self-service ordering ticket machine, cash-only payment, and the need to state your topping preferences (garlic, fat, vegetables) when your order is called. Portions are large even at the smallest size, so it is best for hungry visitors.
