Mitsuya Stand

Mitsuya Stand is a new-style teppan-grilled standing bar beside Nishitetsu Kurume Station, opened in May 2024 on the former site of a set-meal restaurant, built around creative Japanese cuisine cooked on the griddle. Its standout signature item is a slow-simmered offal stew, served alongside a broad menu of fried foods, appetizers, and drinks. Despite being less than two years old, it was named to Tabelog’s 2025 Top 100 Standing Bars list – the only restaurant from the Chikugo region to receive that honor in 2025. It is positioned as an accessible, casual drop-in spot for both quick solo visits and lingering groups.
