Kiharu no Gomasaba-ya is a Fukuoka seafood izakaya in the Haruyoshi district renowned for its live-caught mackerel, sourced daily from contract fishermen on the Goto Islands off Nagasaki. Signature preparations include sesame-marinated mackerel (goma-saba) alongside sashimi and grilled styles, served near Tenjin-Minami Station. Originally opened simply as Kiharu, the restaurant was renamed to highlight its mackerel specialty and shares a sister-restaurant history with the nearby Kiharu; it has been repeatedly recognized across multiple years of Tabelog’s Izakaya Hyakumeiten rankings, including the 2025 Izakaya WEST list.
