Sakai Shokai is an unmarked, sign-less izakaya near Shibuya Station in Tokyo, pairing seasonal Japanese cuisine with natural wine and sake in an intimate counter setting. It has been named to Tabelog’s 2025 Izakaya EAST Hyakumeiten (Top 100) list, an honor it has also received in 2024 and 2022, and is widely regarded as a reservation-difficult hideaway.
