Ten minutes on foot from Shizuoka Station, Chabo is a reservation-recommended yakitori counter that has become one of the region’s few consistent entries on Tabelog’s Yakitori East Top 100, a rare distinction for a restaurant outside Tokyo. The kitchen keeps things quiet and focused, with a non-smoking dining room built for savoring the grill rather than rushing through it. It relocated from a previous address a few years back, and word of the move seems to have only strengthened its local following. Sunday is the only day off, with holiday hours trimmed slightly shorter than the regular evening service.
