Yakitori shira (やきとりshira)

A minute from the south exit of Umegaoka Station, Yakitori shira has quietly built a reputation among yakitori enthusiasts since opening in 2016, earning a Tabelog Hyakumeiten selection for four consecutive years. The kitchen sources Omi Jidori from Shiga and Amagi Shamo from Shizuoka directly from producing farms, grilling each bird with careful attention to breed and cut. A resident sommelier rounds out the experience with wine pairings that elevate the skewers well beyond typical izakaya fare. With just thirteen seats split between counter and table, the non-smoking dining room stays intimate even as its following continues to grow.
