Ramen Kokinta (ラーメン小金太)

Ramen Kokinta is a long-running Kagoshima ramen institution in the lively Tenmonkan entertainment district, in business since 1990. It is known for its classic Kagoshima-style tonkotsu broth paired with medium-thick noodles, offered in both a lighter (assari) version and a richer pork-bone version, alongside a much-praised half fried rice. With late-night hours stretching past 3am and no fixed closing day, it has long been a favorite stop for locals winding down after a night out, and it is the Kagoshima Prefecture selection in the Tabelog Ramen Hyakumeiten.
